Epoxy Crack Injection
When water pushes through cracks in your foundation walls, we seal them from the inside. We install epoxy injection ports along the length of the crack and pump in epoxy resin. The resin fills the void all the way through the wall and hardens, stopping the leak permanently. We charge $250 to $1,000 per epoxy crack injection.
Sump Pump Installation
If water is coming up through the floor, a sump pump is required to manage the water table under your foundation. We excavate a pit to the correct depth below the drain tile and set a perforated liner. We seat a submersible pump inside the liner. To ensure the system works efficiently, we install a check valve on the discharge line so pumped water doesn't flow back into the pit, and we route the discharge well away from the foundation.

Vapor Barrier Installation
For damp crawl spaces or unfinished basement floors, we install polyethylene sheeting to block ground moisture. We start by cleaning and leveling the crawl space or basement floor. Next, we unroll the vapor barrier, making sure to overlap the seams by at least 12 inches. We tape all seams securely and seal the perimeter directly to the foundation wall with mastic, completely isolating your home from the damp earth.

Questions Akron Homeowners Ask
We saw-cut and remove a strip of concrete along the perimeter, lay the system, and patch back with concrete - the patch line is visible but the floor is fully functional within 24 to 48 hours of pour.
Interior drain tile can be installed year-round; exterior waterproofing requires unfrozen, workable soil and is typically not scheduled between December and March in cold climates.
French drain usually refers to an exterior perimeter trench filled with gravel and pipe to intercept surface and shallow groundwater; drain tile (interior or exterior) connects to a footing drain and routes water to a sump - both use perforated pipe but serve different water sources.
In most basements, yes - a properly sized dehumidifier maintains relative humidity below 60 percent to prevent condensation, residual mold growth, and wood rot even after bulk water is controlled.
Damp proofing is a surface-applied coating that resists moisture vapor; true waterproofing manages hydrostatic pressure and bulk water intrusion through membranes, drainage systems, and sump discharge.
